Henton Village Hall

 Run by and for the local community, with sustainability at its core

Henton Village Hall is located in the beautiful village of Henton, three miles west of the cathedral city of Wells in Somerset.

Built in 1999, it has been maintained in excellent decorative order with an ongoing programme of refurbishment. It is available for community events and private hire.

What Can We Offer?

A purpose-built venue for both large and small meetings and social events. Henton Village Hall offers a large Main Hall with sprung wooden floor, sound system and portable stage. There is a storage room for regular hirers. There is a well-equipped kitchen and the use of tables, chairs, crockery, heating etc are included in hire charges. There is a bar licence (subject to usual conditions). There is also a smaller hall available

Capacity & Accessibility

The main Rose Hall can accommodate 120 people at tables, more if seated theatre-style.

Separately, the Gibbs Room can accommodate up to 50 people.

They are available for hire for private business, social, or family events as well as for local clubs and societies.

There is parking available for about 30 cars, and use of an additional amenity field if required.

The hall is fully accessible to people with physical and/or sensory disabilities.

What's Happening?

 

There are weekly sessions of Pilates, badminton, Tai Chi, yoga, short mat bowls and social dancing. There are monthly meetings of the Gardening Club and WoW (Women on Wednesdays) and there are several ad hoc events.

There are village social get-togethers every 2 months on the 2nd Saturday of the month and Film Club usually alternates with this . (See the Film Club page for exact dates.)

The village breakfast is held on the first Sunday of each month.
