This map shows the road closures over the coming months that may affect your passage to the Hall

Latest 17h Sept: NOTE  Work has now started on the section from Worth Hotel to Wookey School (See Red Arrows) however there are Traffic Lights so for light traffic there should not be a problem {Large articulated lorries should use the Cheddar Road}

Work to replace the water main has started after Yarley Cross thus the road from there to Wookey School (near Pheasant Pub) may be closed here in all or part from 29th July to 2nd September. Currently you will need to use the narrow lanes to bypass this section of B3139 (Avoid using Hilliers Lane immediately to south of B3139 as this road is very narrow with shere sides and blind bends and nowhere to pass.) It is suggested you use Monksford Lane to go to Wells which starts at Yarley Cross turn left and immediately right, you will emerge at the back of Wookey near Ring O' Bells. You will need to cross the ford BUT AVOID IF WE HAVE A LOT OF RAIN. Suggest return via Castle Lane (left before Pheasant ) up Hembury Hill then keep right and come down Yarley Hill to Yarley Cross. Care needed limited passing places and some blind bends. These routes are suggestions you travel at your own risk and are NOT OFFICIAL DIVERSIONS In the Evening say after 5pm until about 8:30am and at Weekends light traffic may be able to continue on the B3139 but care is needed . BUT SEE ABOVE from 14th August
