The Mill Stream Villages & Hamlets  Latest News

At a committee meeting on 16th May 2016 the Constitution of The Mill Stream Villages Association was approved. The Association has also opened a bank account to manage the finances and put us in a better position to bid for funds.

At the latest meeting it was agreed that we would have the same picture thereon of a waterwheel for all villages.. We are indebted to Chris Lee for his design which will be used as the basis for each villages sign.

We have now produced our first sign for Wookey and it was unveiled on Shrove Tuesday with help from children at Wookey School. We have had enthusiastic support for our effots from scores of residents. We are pressing ahead to produce the remain 4 signs at Worth, Yarley, Henton. and Bleadney and in due course the sign for Fenny Castle

If you wish to support our fund raining efforts then buy our greetings cards available at the Hub, Burcott Mill and any of our committee members.

The committee consists of the following members Bleadney  Nick Wride  Henton Peter Gatenby and David Vincent Yarley Hope Mayne and Ida Kraft Worth Keith & Sue Hanson, and Carol Baby Wookey Caroline Northcott-Lowndes  Castle David Paterson

Note we are now a registered Association that can receive funds from Shape Mendip Lottery. Anybody wishing to try their luck to win a prize fund of £25,000 should go to the website please choose The Mill Stream Villages Association as your chosen charity you wish to support we then get 50% of ticket sales..
