We're (trying to be) a BEE-FRIENDLY village

We're trying to look after our environment by reducing our carbon footprint and by encouraging a diversity of wildlife. This is the winner of Green Henton's Bee Friendly Sign Competition. Congratulations to Jen and Ed Duckenfield who jointly designed and made it. They have won an annual family membership to the Somerset Wildlife Trust.

Their sign was made from a tree that had to be felled in their garden. They left a large section of the trunk which they have drilled with holes to make homes for bees and other insects.
