​Community Events​

In 2024 the Village Hall held a huge BBQ, Mad Hatters Tea and Ceilidh Party to celebrate it's 25th Anniversary, inviting a host of local residents and notable people, whose names have been connected to the hall over the years.

A community party was held in celebration of the Kings coronation in 2023 and was well attended, with may pole dancing, children's crafts table, food and entertainment.

​

Over the years the Hall has hosted many village social events including barn dances, Christmas Lunch, jazz evenings, Harvest Suppers and a New Year's Eve party. Of course it has also been hired privately for children's parties, silver, gold and ruby wedding anniversaries and whole wedding weekend events.

​

Every July, a highlight of the summer is Henton Fete, held at the village hall. The hall is filled with stalls selling books, bric a brac and home-made cakes, and there is a pop-up cafe serving drinks and cakes. Outside, there is a dog show, a barbecue, children's tent, plant stall, sideshows and much, much more. Follow them on Instagram #HentonVillageFete or on Facebook #Henton Fete. From time to time we have been fortunate to have recitals by local musicians who use the lovely baby grand piano.

Locals can enjoy membership of social groups - Henton Film Club, with screenings each month and WOW! (Women on Wednesdays!)
