Film Club

Henton Film Club is a "not for profit" members-only social club.  It is hoped that the range of films that will be shown will appeal to a wide audience.

The club will alternate with the village social evenings. As far as possible, this will be on the 2nd Saturday of each month but other bookings may require changes from time to time.

Next screening: Saturday 16th December Amelie (a French romantic comedy)

We hope that there will be additional screenings in the school summer holidays, offering films that will appeal to the younger members of our community. Watch this page (and the usual Whatsapp group, village email, Instagram and Facebook) for information about these when they are arranged.

We need everyone who comes to a film to be members so that we can meet the licencing requirements of the company that we are using. So we have an annual membership fee that needs to be paid before settling down to watch a film. The club aims to be non-profit making so the fee has been set at a level that is expected to cover all running costs and royalty charges. The fee is payable once per year and all attendances at film showings during that year are then free of charge. The fees are as follows:

Single Adult: £16 per year

Family: £22 per year

Family plus guests (staying with you at the time) £30 per year.

You can become a member on the same night as the first film that you come to see.

Doors open each time at 7.00pm For 30 minutes before each film there will be a paying bar. This will open again after the film, closing at 10.00pm.

If you have further questions, please contact Terry Mewse (01749 671466) who manages the club.
